Ok I know the title of this is a little much. You are probably thinking “who the hell does this guy think he is?” I do have answers though I swear, so I want to pass them along.

What Happens Before We are Born

I recently wrote a piece on what happens after we are dead (see here) so I figure I should cover what happens before we are born too. At some point while hanging out on the other side in whatever realm we are hanging out in, we eventually feel the pull for more soul growth and another incarnation on Earth. At this point we seek out our spiritual advisors and teachers and meet with the Council of Elders who begin the process of us returning to Earth. At this point plans are developed for our future incarnation. We determine what lessons we want to take on for our spiritual growth, what teaching moments we want to provide for others while here, what spiritual values we want to be tested on, what karma we want to resolve while on Earth, and all of us are given specific plans and tasks to accomplish in our lives. While, I can’t tell you what your own personal mission is, here is a hint – it is usually almost always something about soul growth, unconditional love of self or others, karma resolution, or teaching and being of service to others (and probably a combination of all of those things). We are then shown several possible life options to come into and ultimately after much discussion with spiritual advisors, friends and loved ones, and our own self reflection, we choose the life that works best for us and our spiritual needs. We make agreements and soul contracts with others in spirit (and with the souls of those already incarnated on Earth) who will provide lessons and/or opportunities for us to teach lessons for soul growth. We choose our spirit guides. We choose our life conditions we are being born into and this does include our parents and families. That might be a tough pill to swallow for some depending on their relationships with their birth families, but it is a truth. We do this all for spiritual growth and karma resolution. Once our plans are solidified, we are taken through a mystical process that eases us across the veil where we forget all of our spirit memories and experiences to start anew in the new body we are born into at the time of birth. Generally, the spirit does not enter the fetus until close to the time of birth for what it is worth. Just like that we are on our way! The birth process is not actually the most pleasant for us. Many who have gone through past life regression and hypnosis work have come to discover that being born was actually somewhat traumatic (some say the most traumatic experience in their lives). I guess it is gift from Spirit then that we cannot remember most of the time around our births and as babies!

Note: the process above is the entry onto our planet for most souls – those that reside in the lighter more heavenly realms. There are souls that are reincarnated from the lower hellish realms such as the earthbound realm and the void (again see here), and they do not necessarily go through the same process. Because we are all “saved” and return to Source eventually, Source will allow those stuck in other realms to be reincarnated as a chance to have a do-over. Nobody burns in hell endlessly for all of eternity. That is false Christian dogma.

The Meaning of Life

Why do we come to Earth to experience Life? The answer was already in the last section, but I will answer it directly. The reason for Life is for spiritual growth. We come to this planet to learn lessons, teach, be of service, to create and resolve karma, and to grow into the unconditional Love of God. Because we all contain the spark of God inside of us, you can think of us as little Godlings going to school to grow up to be like our parent which is the one Source/God/Goddess. We are learning to have absolute unconditional Love for ourselves and all others just like Source. Once we grow, learn, and perfect ourselves enough, we give up our individuality to merge back into Source forever. Here is a secret that would have got me burned at the stake had I said this at the wrong time in history: all the ascended masters such as Jesus Christ and Buddha came here to show us what we are and what we can be and do. Jesus Christ was not some deity that came here to be worshiped. If this is what you think the point of Jesus was then you missed the point. Jesus came here to show us what the idealized most spiritually evolved human being can be on this planet. He came to show us exactly how Source designed us to live on this planet because what is in Jesus is in every single one of us. All the ascended masters did. They are our spiritual brothers and sisters who are so highly evolved that they are showing us the way for our own growth and what we can aspire to. They are us, and they were all humans just like us. We all have the spark of God inside of us. We are all the sons and daughters of God. We are moving into the Age of Enlightenment on this planet over the coming years and as we do, the planet will slowly evolve and awaken until it is filled with a bunch of Christs and Buddhas.

Here are two analogies that illustrate the themes of Life purpose:

1. Life is school. Each time we come back here we are here to learn lesson and grow spiritually. Each new life here (or anywhere really) is like a new grade in school. The more lives we incarnate into, the higher our grade in school is because we have learned more and have grown more. Eventually we graduate from Earth school and we no longer need to come back here (although sometimes we do come back as teachers). Earth and the physical realm is the place where we come to test our spiritual ideals. We come here to be tested just like in school. We are here to see what we really know, what we really have learned, and what we still need to work on some more. This is the only realm where we are given the gift of this much free will while at the same time having a veil placed over our previous spiritual knowledge and experiences. This provides the perfect testing ground for spiritual ideals. Due to these circumstances, the amount of spiritual growth that can be attained on Earth is far greater than in any other dimension or spirt realm. We grow faster when we come here.
2. Life is like the hydrological cycle. The ocean is Source/God and the spiritual realms. Our spirits get plucked and evaporated from the ocean to be carried along in the clouds. Each drop of water contains the same essence from the ocean (H2O) just like each one of our spirits contains the same essence of Source/God inside. They are all fractals of the one ocean Source. As we move over land, some drops fall early and end up in the ocean way faster. Some don’t even make it to land. Others fall as snow and get locked up on mountains, glaciers, and ice caps. Some fall on land and get evaporated up again. Some fall and get absorbed into the ground and get trapped as ground water for a long time. Most water finds it’s way to streams and rivers eventually. Some water drops are slumming it with sludge at the bottom of the river. Some are flying high at the top riding the waves. Some water drops get stuck in slow moving pools or lakes or behind dams. Some find themselves on a roller coaster ride going over rapids and waterfalls. Every water droplet is having a different experience, and all of them are necessary for the whole. Finally, every drop of water will one day return to the ocean to be one with the ocean again no matter how many twists and turns and detours and roadblocks it encounters. Each will bring all its personal growth and lessons and stories of its adventures back to share with all the other water droplets in the ocean.

The Purpose of Humanity

The purpose of humans as a whole versus us as individuals is really not much different. Instead of personal spiritual growth and personal karma creation and resolution, humanity as a whole is also coming here for soul growth and evolution as a group. Humans as a group create karma and resolve karma. We also have group lessons and group teachings. Our personal soul growth is just a fractal of what humanity is going through as a larger group. The Hermetic saying “As above, so below; as below, so above” leads us to the truth as well. As groups of humans, animals, and plants evolve in the physical realm, this is also what is happening in the spiritual realm and vice versa. Evolution is not just some Darwin related theory used only to explain the physical realm. Evolution was the tool created by Source/God for all souls on all levels (physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual) to grow and change and adapt. Because all life is ONE, and everyone and everything is our brother and sister, we all cannot complete humanity’s stint here on Earth until every last one of us evolves and grows to Source. Nobody will be left behind because nobody can be.

One of the most important tasks for humans is to bring heaven to earth. This was the ultimate goal for humanity in this grand plan when it was presented to all of us as spiritual beings, and we all were excited to plan for this and partake in the great adventure. The purpose of humanity has always been to evolve to the point where heaven has incarnated on to the earth plane itself. This is the great task that humans are moving towards. As we move closer to the Age of Enlightenment and more deeply into the Age of Aquarius, humans will overcome their dark egoic natures and instead create a world filled with unconditional love, compassion, truth, and light. Everything that Jesus could do while here and how he lived on the planet is what every single one of us is evolving towards. That is the truth and never let anyone else dim your power and tell you otherwise.
